I suffered a Rotator Cuff injury and continued to play tennis until the season was over. After arthroscopic surgery and rehab I returned to competing. I realize that by continuing to play competitive tennis with my injury I compensated with my Elbow. But after consulting with Colleen and having her treat my tennis elbow using deep specific work and The Recovery Pump my elbow is completely healed. The Recovery Pump is a MUST for Professional Tennis! Thank you Colleen!!

I was in a tourney this past weekend and had 3 tough matches on Saturday and had to play again Sunday. I used the pump for about 20 minutes late Saturday night before bed and for another 45 minutes Sunday morning before playing early Sunday afternoon. I was astounded at how good I felt. I was truly amazed, I thought for sure I would be sluggish and slow but I felt really good. I’m completely sold on the pumps effectiveness.

My legs immediately felt lighter and I was able to recover quicker for another work out the next morning. My shoulder (which I recently had surgery on) as well felt lighter and the inflammation decreased after placing it on my arm. Strongly recommend it!

I have been under Ms. Carney’s professional massage treatment and personal training care for 13 years.Colleen has helped treat a variety of my muscular problems which include muscle strain in the legs, shoulders and back.In my experience, which includes massage treatments from other providers, I have the considered impression that Ms. Carney has a huge spectrum within her repertoire of interventions. She is thorough and conscientious in her work.Currently I see her weekly and have continued to find that I am amply rewarded by her work.I have the highest regard for Colleen’s professionalism and integrity.I have had the opportunity to refer chronic pain patients from my practice to her.Her collaborative work has been excellent and she clearly is a very knowledgeable clinician.Colleen is a person of the highest moral character and I recommend her without reservation.

Colleen Carney of Back In Motion has worked with me on recovery from injury, flexibility maintenance and general muscular balance over the past several years.I was referred to Colleen by a doctor at Pr Sports Therapy at Health Pointe.I was recovering from acute pain of a herniated disk at L4.She worked with me for several months and demonstrated knowledge of my musculature and muscle weakness. She helped me recover my lifting and upper body rotational flexibility. As a result, I was able to resume weekly cycling without pain.I have received a full protocol of Rolfing treatment from another massage therapist and I feel her strength and depth of work are comparable to that form of massage, when asked for.She is able to work as deeply as I request and has helped loosen facia in my forearms and tightness in my illotibial band.Nevertheless, she has the sensitivity and skill to work gently where appropriate for small muscle groups.I highly recommend her as a massage therapist.

I went to see Colleen (on the recommendation of a friend) about one month prior to the 2010 Boston Marathon. My left hip had become very sensitive (after months of training) and I was having trouble walking upstairs much less running. She really identified the problem (weak glutes) which had put too much stress on the rest of my stride. Colleen gave me a set of exercises to strengthen those muscles and by race day, I was completely pain free. Her therapy and advise not only got me to the start line but also to the finish, 26.2 miles later. Thank you Colleen !…next year we will break 3:30 !!
